About Meredith Respiratory and Sleep Centres

The Meredith Respiratory and Sleep Centre consists of three different locations in Southern and Western Sydney. We pride ourselves on providing services which cater for all aspects of Respiratory and Sleep disorders including diagnosis, treatment and clinical research.

In our centres, there are many specialised staff that provide expertise advice and service in the field of sleep and respiratory. These professionals consist of three medical physicians, scientists and technologists.

Dr. David Freiberg is the founder and medical Director of the Meredith Respiratory and Sleep Centres. Practicing as a respiratory and sleep specialist in South West Sydney for over 25 years, Dr. Freiberg has worked in private practice, private hospitals, as well as in the public hospital system.

Dr. Freiberg lectured at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Sydney providing education in specialised aspects of respiratory and sleep medicine. He used this vast experience to set up the Meredith Respiratory and Sleep Centres.

We are proud to provide a quality service which caters for privately insured and uninsured patients. Pensioners and healthcare card holders are bulk billed in these sleep units.

We look forward to being of continuing service to the community of Southern and Western Sydney.

Sleep Clinic Services

  • In-lab sleep study (Polysomnography) for testing and diagnosis of sleep related disorders such as snoring, sleep apnoea, choking during sleep, periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD), rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder (RBD), disrupted sleep, insomnia, narcolepsy and teeth grinding (bruxism)

  • Pressure determination testing for patients requiring CPAP, Bi-PAP or SV

  • Oxygen studies

  • Transcutaneous CO2 monitoring

  • Multiple sleep latency testing – MSLT

  • Maintenance of wakefulness test – MWT
