The Meredith Street Respiratory Clinic is our flagship and newest facility, which contains consulting suites, a lung function testing laboratory as well as an all new 6 bed outpatient sleep clinic. The custom built respiratory laboratory allows for a comprehensive assessment of respiratory conditions. This assists the specialist physicians to advise on your treatment plan. Another part of the comprehensive service at this location is a Philips Healthcare sleep easy equipment outlet.
This service provides for diagnosis and treatment of all respiratory and sleep conditions. We provide healthcare that is experienced, advanced and accessible to everyone.

The Meredith Clinic is situated in the only 5 star rated commercial building in Bankstown adjacent to 2 free public car parks.
Lung function tests are a way of measuring the function of the lungs. This helps in the diagnosis of lung disease and monitoring the response to treatment.
To do these tests it will require you to perform maximum efforts by blowing in to a disposable mouth piece with a bacterial filter.
The types of lung function tests include:
SPIROMETRY
Measures if the bronchial tubes are narrowed and helps diagnose conditions such as Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. The test is performed seated and takes 10-20 minutes and is repeated after taking a bronchodilator inhaler. Please note instruction sheet in regard to withholding your medications on the day of testing.
GAS DIFFUSION TEST
This test measures how well a gas diffuses across the alveoli in your lung and into your blood stream. This is an important test for conditions such as emphysema and pulmonary fibrosis.
